Hello! Welcome to Restoration Is 4-Real LLC. My name is Dr. Barbara Nelson, and I started this business to create a safe space for the community. I care about people from all walks of life – those who are homeless, behind prison walls, hospitalized, and encounter domestic violence. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, and spiritual mother.

With my ongoing quest to give, I've been able to promote significant, positive change in communities and individuals through advocacy, empowered by compassion. I am the founder of Standing In Faith – Restoration & Re-Entry. Also, I am one of the co-pastors of ‘The SORD Church’ alongside my husband, Pastor Michael. I've been serving in ministry and community outreach for more than 30 years.

I take pride in engaging in a civic-minded approach to community building as I am committed to a life-long service based on personal and professional experiences.

Additionally, I am a licensed and ordained pastor.

I have been honored on several platforms for my corporate leadership and leadership in Standing in Faith – Restoration & Re-Entry. I was honored at the National and Independent Gospel Music Association ‘Ladies of Virtue Tea’ in collaboration with The Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards for outstanding work in communities, churches, and social organizations.

I've been featured as a contributor for the Monthly Prayer for Epitome Magazine.

Also, I've made television community announcement appearances on the Great Day Houston Program, Houston Community College HTV Networks, and made radio community announcement appearances on Houston KKHT FM 100.7 Radio, Tuesday’s CALLED TO INSPIRE with Dr. Sylvia, and Houston Media Source and GOT V.O.I.C.E - Victorious Outcomes in Christ Empowerment Broadcast.

I was also selected as one of the Top Most Inspiring Women which will be featured in the upcoming CALLED 2 INSPIRE International Magazine Inaugural Edition.
